Four delicious words: Five Dollar Filet Mignon.
That’s right, tonight I enjoyed a filet mignon for $5 at MATCH Back Bay. This is my third time going to MATCH on a Thursday night for Ladies Night (get any entrée for just $5!) and this time the food was not as good as my previous visits. My steak was overdone and a bit dry, but hey for $5 I’ll keep my mouth shut! I also enjoyed a nice glass of Merlot + some good conversation in a fun, young, lively environment. Not a bad deal for a Thursday night!
My order – ’10oz Filet Mignon with black peppercorn sauce served with sautéed spinach and goat cheese mashed potatoes’ (from their menu.*) Personally, I heart goat cheese so these mashed potatoes were such a treat! Also, this dish would normally run you $23! Hmmm, $23 vs. $5….
My only complaint (other than the steak being a bit overdone) is that the women on staff at MATCH hardly wear any clothes. FYI – you can’t just go out in public sans pants. I mean, you can, but you shouldn‘t. A shirt can not (should not) pass for a dress. I don’t need to see your vajayjay while I’m eating dinner. I’m at a restaurant in the Back Bay, not at the Golden Banana on Route 1.
