My friend Heidi from work passed along a ‘Good Card’ to me a few weeks ago. A Good Card is basically a gift card you give to someone so that they can choose any non-profit organization to donate to. I really love this idea.
Anyway, Heidi knows about my kindness project and she thought I could use this card in order to do something nice. I hadn’t chosen a charity to donate the money to until now, because I’ve been waiting for a special day, the 50th day of this project – the halfway mark. Why have I been waiting? Because I think Heidi’s gesture encompasses my whole reasoning behind this project. She received this Good Card from someone and then decided to pass along the kindness, so she gave it to me, and I chose a non-profit (Bellesini Academy, the amazing school my sister works at) to donate to.
Just one example of how many people are involved with small acts of kindness every.single.day.

I love the idea of a good card! I would so much prefer that to getting gifts.
