I’ve been wanting to try out Towne for a while now, and finally got to with three of my girlfriends a couple of weeks ago. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is chic, cool and sophisticated. The perfect place for a night out for good food, a couple of cocktails and lots of girl talk. We sat on the second floor which features a glassed-in kitchen so you can see the chefs working away, which was one of my favorite parts of our visit.
A night on the Towne*
Their diverse menu showcases dishes from around the world (denoted by a flag). It was tough choosing what to get, but I knew I wanted to try something new, something I wouldn’t normally order so I went for the sugar smoked peking chicken, which was sweet (with a hint of salt – loved the combo), tender and quite good.
It’s funny though…I definitely like going out to nice dinners like this every now and then – at an upscale Boston restaurant – but to be honest, give me an absolutely delicious burger and an equally delicious beer and I’m usually happy as a clam.
However, let’s not forget about the best part of the evening: dessert. MAPLE COTTON CANDY, people. That’s where it’s at. I seriously still wonder how I hadn’t had maple cotton candy until our night at Towne. It is genius.
Check out Towne on Facebook and Twitter. And stop in for a fun evening! {900 Boylston Street Boston, MA 02215 617.247.0400}
