Ok, I must say…I was pretty nervous for our engagement photo shoot. I’m not used to posing for proper photos — I don’t do it very often. And I’m not a huge fan of being the center of attention (good luck on our wedding day, huh? :)) Colin, my fiance, on the other hand, enjoys being the center of attention (if you know him, you probably already know this!). It’s one of the things I love most about him, and I find that it often helps me realize that having some attention on you every now and then is not the worst thing in the world.
Another thing that helped me are Alissa and Bill, our photographers (of Alissa Keane Photography). Not only are they amazing people, and such a sweet couple, they are extremely talented photographers. I have known Alissa around 7 or 8 years now I think (my sister Meg and her were roommates in college — also Merrimack grads) so being friends with her obviously helped put me at ease. But honestly, they are such friendly people even if I hadn’t known both of them prior to the shoot I am very confident they would have still put me at ease. They are just fun people to be around, and I am thrilled to have them take pictures at our wedding! Can’t wait to show you all those too. Only 54 days left to go, but who’s counting?…
We took our photos at Merrimack College, where we met. It was a beautiful day, and we hopped all around campus snapping pics — we loosened up pretty quickly, and had a great time with it.
Since Colin played football while we were in college (he was the QB), we thought it would be cool to take some pictures on the football field. That part was my favorite!
Here are some of the photos from our shoot, and feel free to check out Alissa’s awesome site for more!
PS: If you don’t mind, please take a second to vote for me in the Real Simple essay contest. THANKS EVERYONE!
