Samuel Adams Crowd Craft Project

Ok I have two questions for you:

1 – Do you need a break from work for a minute?

2 – Do you want to give Sam Adams your input on what their next beer should look / taste like?

Well then, you’re in luck! Samuel Adams has paired up with social media guru, Guy Kawasaki, for the first ever Samuel Adams Crowd Craft Project. The point of this contest is to take valuable feedback and suggestions from Sam Adams beer enthusiasts from Facebook, Twitter and Google+ in order to create a crowd-sourced beer of fan-approved perfection.

With Guy’s passion for social media and innovation combined with Samuel Adams passion for high quality craft beer, this social collaboration brew is sure to be a standout.

So hurry people, because there are only TWO DAYS left to vote!

What you’ll vote on:

  • Color
  • Clarity
  • Body (mouth feel)
  • Malt (sweetness)
  • Hops (bitterness)
  • Yeast (finish)

When the voting period ends on February 5th, brewers will take the top choice from each category (above) and use them for the collaborative ale recipe, which will be brewed throughout the month of February. The beer will be revealed at Guy Kawasaki’s Girl + Guy party in Austin, Texas on March 10th during an annual interactive festival.

Here’s my beer that I voted on :)

What my beer creation looked like

And just as a reminder…if you have two seconds, please head over to my Facebook profile and click on the photo I shared of my fab friend Kate striking a yoga pose. Then click “like” in order to vote for Kate. She could win tickets to the Wanderlust Festival at Stratton Mountain in Vermont on the weekend of June 21-24. Thank you SO MUCH!

This, for me, is the equivalent of Colin receiving his box of new turkey hunting gear from Cabela’s. That is what God made Colin a boy and Colleen a girl.

Tonight we went to see RENT performed at Merrimack. It was awesome – they did such a great job! I was impressed by the fact that Merrimack decided to put on what could be called a ‘controversial’ show (dealing with AIDS/HIV, drug use, girls kissing girls, boys kissing boys, gender confusion etc.), especially with the fact that Merrimack is a private, Catholic school. Good for them!

I love the music, the characters, pretty much everything about RENT and I truly thought they did the show justice tonight. Congratulations!

Tomorrow is a busy day. I have to run 11 miles, YIKES!

After that, we have my co-workers wedding tomorrow night, which Colin and I are really excited for. Should be a great time! Although, I was not able to ‘Rent the Runway‘ unfortunately! I totally dropped the ball on that – I waited to the last minute to remember that I wanted to rent a dress! Ugh. Luckily Nicole helped me out BIG time and brought in some dresses today for me to try out, so we’ll see, I haven’t decided on one yet…
Time for rest. Goodnight!

‘Num nums?’ Really?

First and foremost - I am pretttty sure he doesn’t read my famous blog, but in any case I’d like to give a shout out to an amazing man, Fr. Jim! Happy Birthday!!

Ok, so my singing co-worker is at it again! Although it’s ridiculous work behavior, maybe it’s good for me to hear about ‘praising Him’ in order to get in the Easter spirit?

Another lady in the cube right around the corner from me (I won’t go into detail too much on this one, that would take a while…) was just on the phone and said the word ‘num nums’ in reference to her food. I have a major problem with a grown woman using this word/phrase (whatever it is!) Understandable if a cute little five-year-old is saying it, it’s even understandable when parents use ‘baby-talk’ around their kids (although, that can quickly spiral out of control) but it is 150% not understandable when a grown woman says ‘num-nums’ at work, out loud, on the phone, with no children in sight.

In other news, today is April Fool’s Day, so for all you fools out there – have a happy one! I don’t currently have any plans to trick anyone today, but hey ya never know. Ideas are welcome.

Gadling.com has a great prank on their site – Virgin America and American Apparel are merging into ‘Virgin Apparel’ and passengers are required to wear leotards, oh the horror!
