I got up early today, went to the gym, had a lovely breakfast and made my train on time – such a great start!
I overslept today and missed my train again.
Oh well, at least there is sunshine!
I had to drive in, otherwise I would have gotten to work too late for my liking. Luckily I didn’t even need my iPod because the radio gods were on my side. I played another amazing concert for my non-existent fans. I started the set reenacting the last scene from Dirty Dancing with, ‘Time of My Life’ then I Journeyed along to, ‘Don’t Stop Believing,’ next up - I turned into a young black man performing a little hip-hop with Young Money’s ‘BedRock,’ then I quickly threw on my funkiest shades and some glitter, turning into an older, gay man with Elton John’s ’Crocodile Rock,’ more English men – the Beatles’ ‘Here Comes the Sun’ (appropriate for today), I belted out ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing,’ I danced while driving to ‘Borderline’ by Madonna (can you get a ticket for that? Maybe with my moves you can?…), I saddled up my horse with Big and Rich, I really sounded great with Vanessa Williams ‘Save the Best for Last’, I re-lived my old guitar playing days (I think it was one summer when I was about 10) with ‘Smoke on the Water’ (my bad-ass Dad taught me that one), got a little trippy with Steve Miller’s ‘Fly Like an Eagle’, sang about Cecilia breakin my heart with Simon and Garfunkel, also sang about Sally with Eric Clapton, serenaded ‘My Boo’ with Alicia Keys and Usher, had an 80′s flashback (I mean, I was born in ’86, I was probably rockin out even then) with Lionel Richie’s ‘All Night Long,’ I acted like a ‘Basket Case’ with Green Day, honky tonked with the Doobie Brothers, had an excellent guitar solo with The Eagles on ‘Hotel California,’ and closed the set with Bachman Turner Overdrive’s ‘Takin Care of Business’ cause when I finally reached my office, that’s what it was time to do…
